Hawea Conservation Park
We are sorry to inform you that a substantial section of Meads Road remains closed due to weather related damage sustained at the end of 2019.
The Queenstown Lakes District Council, which owns and administers the road, have banned any vehicle, pedestrian, cycle or horse travel across that road until repairs are made.
We have repeatedly asked the Council to undertake those repairs in an urgent manner so we can carry out our farming operations and provide agreed upon public access to the road and the Conservation Park beyond.
We await further word from the Council and share your frustration over any inconvenience this closure may create.
